NM CHILI was
established as a result of the private /public sponsored HIPAA conference
in 2000.

2nd Annual HIPAA Conference to develop awareness
and encourage collaboration in minimizing the HIPAA impact among
smaller healthcare providers in New Mexico and to validate a
method or process through which NM health care organizations
would work together on HIPAA administrative simplification implementation. |

Co-Sponsored
the HIPAA Awareness and Preparedness Program funded
by the Health Policy Commission educating over 2,400 participants
throughout the State. |

Received the Workgroup for Electronic
Data Interchange (WEDI) and Strategic National Implementation
Process (SNIP) Regional Achievement Award in recognition
of efforts in presenting HIPAA awareness programs funded by
special appropriation through the Health Policy Commission in
November 2002. |

Sponsored privacy rule policy and
procedures writing workshops educating 82 participants
in 2003. |

Sponsored privacy rule online training
courses educating 367 individuals and serving 36 provider
organizations in 2003. |
