NM CHILI is....

A non-profit, collaborative organization, founded in 2000. NM CHILI was incorporated effective July 25, 2005. Our fiscal agent is New Mexico Health Resources. Members of the New Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Information Leadership (NM CHILI) include:

•	Health care providers and payers in New Mexico
•	NM State governmental agencies
•	Private corporations
•	Others with an interest in the efficient and secure collection and communication of health information in New Mexico

Our goals are to improve health outcomes, reduce cost and simplify communication and administration within the New Mexico health care industry.

We do this by fostering the use of information technology among New Mexico health care industry participants and the adoption of clear, mutually agreed upon standards for exchanging and protecting health information. We currently utilize two key methods for achieving these goals:

•	Maintain a collaborative forum for public and private members of the New Mexico health care industry to communicate about, learn about and develop consensus on health information technology issues and opportunities.
•	Provide leadership in recommending and advocating for changes to health information infrastructure and communication systems.
